I have a question about birding rough terrain for those birders who have driven either a Rav 4 or a Nissan Xterra. I'm wondering what you think about their suitability for birding and especially what experience you have had birding on Washington's roughest roads. I realize they are not 100%?comparable to each other but that's ok. I think there would be very few on Tweeters who have driven both these vehicles off-road so I just want to know how happy you are with whichever one you have experience with. Any pros and cons?



My partner and I bird places like Hart's Pass, upper Wenas and other more extreme places where something beyond a regular passenger car is helpful and she is ready to trade in the old (15 years old!)?Ford Exploder.



Obviously, this is probably best an off-list discussion, unless others let me know they are interested, in which case I can post a summary later.
