The Swarovski head is too small and thus unstable. I screw in the head
which comes with the tripod, which slowly comes loose, but at least
doesn't fail catastrophically.

Subject: [Tweeters] RFI: Swarovski scope tripod mount

Message
I finally bought a
new Swarovski scope (yay!), and I am wondering whether you Swarovski-owning
Tweets have any opinions about the mounting foot that fits directly into
the Manfrotto tripod head. Has it ever broken on you? I have
had bad experiences with the peripherals on my Swarovski binoculars falling
off or breaking, and I'm not sure whether to trust them on this one, or use the
removable plate to take the torque.
