Arizona friend Jerry Cole and I observed 1 and possibly 2 SHARP-TAILED
SANDPIPERS at the Tonquin Rd entrance to the Game Preserve. I say this with
reservation as I am aware that it is quite early for this sp. The birds
were associating at different times with an imm. RUFF and from 2 to 5
PECTORAL SANDPIPERS. Jerry and I both got photos but haven't been able to
download to our PC's yet. We'll see if the pics support my tentative ID (or
if I'm wrong once again).

We also observed the QUEEN EIDER after walking into the Game Range via the
south entrance. She was associating, as usual, with a small flock of
Scoters. Walking back to our cars, we also observed an imm. GOSHAWK perched
quite low, at the top of some brush. Could possibly have photos of this guy
as well.

Good birding, Mike
