hello everyone,

Marcel Gahbauer and I are seeking your opinion as to the identity of a mystery bird. you have only a scan of a handful of feathers to rely upon -- feathers that were found by a roadside in Alberta, Canada;

we are seeking a consensus opinion as to the identity of this bird since it is unlikely that it will ever be identified otherwise.

I am in third place in the Antarctica vote and slowly creeping up on second place, who is a bit of a celebrity. I have been lucky enough to be endorsed by a large group of people, perhaps the most prominent among them is the endorsement by Daily Kos, and I also received a large boost of support from Reddit. But most important to me is the support of my bird pals because it was you who initially voted for me in large enough numbers to give me first place. The rules state that one vote per email address is allowed, and up to two votes per person. If you haven't voted yet, I encourage you to please do so now!
