on 6 August, NATURE magazine published my review of Olivia Gentile's biography, Life List, about Phoebe Snetsinger, who at the time of her death, she had seen more bird species than any other person in the world. yesterday's mystery bird (a handful of feathers) remains a mystery, although several people think this bird might be either a dowitcher or possibly a greater yellowlegs. perhaps you also have some thoughts you'd like to share?
