hi ... thanks for all the responses ...

lots of folks informed me that Bird #2 is a juvenile Dark-eyed Junco
... I never seen a young one before so that bird never crossed my mind ...

folks weren't sure what Bird #1 is using only those two images I was
able to get ... the most common suggestion was a Pine Siskin ...
