Sunday birding in Benton County turned up a few good birds:
Paterson Slough -->
STILT SANDPIPER, SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER, LESSER YELLOWLEGS, WILSON'S SNIPE, RED-NECKED and WILSON'S PHALAROPE, LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER, GREAT EGRET. FORESTER'S TERNS along the river on the way in.

Bateman Island, Wye Natural Area -->
BLACK TERN, FORSTER'S TERNS, CASPIAN TERN, GRAY CATBIRD, GREAT HORNED OWL, COOPERS HAWK, GREAT EGRET (10 or so).
Great variety of WARBLERs - ORANGE-CROWNED, TOWNSENDS, several MACGILLIVRAYS, NASHVILLE, YELLOW.
Both BANK and NORTH ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW.

it was a good day, and not TOO hot by Richland standards!
