With all the shore bird reports I thought I would pass along a different? kind of sighting.? We were in Bridgeport over the weekend and we saw a beautiful Northern Shrike while we were out looking for barn owls.? We didn't manage to find any owls but we were happy to see the shrike along with many Kingbirds, Eagles, Ospreys, American White Pelicans and the other usual subjects.? I thought it was a little (maybe a lot) early for the shrikes to be heading down from Canada so I thought it may be a little notable.
