Tweets,
>From what I've read & been told, even if the gates are locked & the restrooms & other facilities are closed up people will still be able to park outside the gates & walk the grounds to bird without any fear of being routed for trespass.

Mt Spokane and Field Springs are pretty attractive to birders from those areas, and Rainbow Falls is a pretty reliable place for Hermit Warblers. Millersylvania and Rainbow Falls are both on the Birding Trail maps, as may be others that are not part of the Olympic Loop and SW WA maps. I agree that it is quite an astounding assortment.

Subject: [Tweeters] Washington State Park closures

Hi Tweets,

I was just doing some research to see if any of the proposed WA state park closures was going to affect access to Puget Sound Seabird Survey sites and I found quite an astounding list: http://www.wta.org/trail-news/magazine/projected-state-park-closures. Here's a map of those parks: http://tinyurl.com/closingparks

Does anyone know of a more up-to-date list that's available online? I am looking for details on which parks could "moth-ball" when...

Seems like there are a couple parks that could affect popular birding destinations, like Gingko, Ft Ebey and Ft Flagler to name a few...
