On 8-26 I drive up the Deer Park road in the Olympic N.P. to the end of the road which is at Blue Mountian There is a short trail to the summit. While there I observed two birds moving in the rocks with somewhat long down curved bills. The birds looked like Thrashers to me but what type the plumage is unlike any Thrasher that I know of. I would not expect to see any Thrashers up there. Please take a look at the bird on my flickr site, what do you think the bird is?
