Subject: [Tweeters] late season passerine nesting in Olympia?

Hello all,

I just had a Steller's jay land a few feet outside one of my windows carrying a small egg, about twice the size of a chickadee egg. I'd assumed passerines in the area were finished nesting for the summer and just wondering what could be still nesting at this time of the year? Our property borders a natural area off South Bay Road in Olympia.

Thanks
Robin
