The 2009 Lyle Christmas Bird Count is scheduled for Sunday, December 20th, two weeks from this Sunday. This year's count is sponsored by Friends of the Columbia Gorge and the Klickitat Canyon Winery, so we have the best of both worlds.. free participation on the count thanks to Friends... and an abundance of local, organic wine provided by the Klickitat Canyon Winery for our count compilation dinner.

Early this year, my computer crashed with my e-mail address list for those interested in birding and/or participating in the count. If you are seeing this notice on Tweeters and wondering why you didn't get an e-mail notice this year, that is why. Please send me your e-mail address and that of any others who you think might be interested.

If you are interested in participating, please let me know as soon as possible so I can assign you to one of eight to ten sectors.
