About mid-November, a Snowy Owl was spotted on the fence of a home near woods around Gig Harbor around 3:30 PM. It stayed for just a few minutes. This would correlate with the Snowy Owl seen on November 16th or 17th at the Port of Tacoma as reported to Tweeters by Bill Shelmerdine on November 18. There are also photos and an excellent description of this owl. The homeowner was thrilled, but only recently thought to report it to Tahoma Audubon when a friend mentioned it might be good to do so.
