I birded my way around Whidbey Island today under gorgeous blue skies and found my nemesis the Swamp Sparrow on the dike along Dugualla Bay.? There was a very large sparrow flock there with lots of white and golden-crowns, Fox, Song, Lincoln's, a Savanah and the Swamp.? I ended the day with 93 species.? Other highlights were 4 Ancient Murrelets at Fort Ebbey State Park, a Thayer's Gull at the Keystone ferry Terminal, and a flock of about 25 Bonaparte's Gull in Penn Cove.?
