Yesterday stopped off briefly at the 12 st NE ponds, north of the Everett Sewage Ponds. I was checking for shorebirds, but found the ponds lightly frozen over - no shorebirds. However, a single adult Northern Shrike flew by( one I saw several days ago at the sewage ponds was an Imm.) and a beautiful Rough-legged Hawk was perched atop a nearby fir.
