Dear Tweeters,

I have a hummingbird camping out on the hummingbird feeder. The feeder is directly under the porch light to keep it from freezing. It is 8 pm and the hummer is still moving about and feeding instead of going into his mini-hibernation.

The light provides warmth, but is it keeping him awake? Would it be better to leave the light on or turn it off? Or does it matter with all the Christmas lights in the neighborhood, he could seek out other lights for warmth.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
