Having birded Columbia County quite a bit this year I am amazed of the lack of records for many species. Some of these must have passed through Columbia County at one point or another. If any of the following species has been seen by anyone, I would appreciate the information of date and who saw it. Below is a list of species never recorded in Columbia Co. to my knowledge. For those who need a challenge try birding this county along with Garfield Co. and you'll soon discover how difficult it is to bird these counties. Habitat is part of the problem. The Snake River is pretty sterile, then there is some poor quality sage, then wheat fields, and the Blue Mts. which are very dry.
