I birded the Gog-le-hi-te wetlands for the first time on Friday, and was really jazzed at the opportunity to study Thayer's Gulls in many plumages, as well as Northwestern and American Crows en masse on the tide flats at low tide.
Like Shep, I had many Thayer's Gulls on the surrounding metal roofs as well as in the Puyallup and adjacent tidelands.
Earlier in the day at Ediz Hook I had great looks at as many as 40 Marbled Murrelets, several Rhino's and a smattering of Pigeon Guillomots, but no Ancient Murrelets. Also at Ediz Hook were 6 Surfbirds on the first, (western most) log booms on the inside of the hook.
