Hello Washington Birders,

I am a birder from Connecticut. I am taking a trip to Washington next summer in late july and early august and intend on doing lots of birding. I am not aware of how common some of the birds are in Washington. I am visiting the following places:

The Olympic Penninsula --- various places on it
Port Townsend Bay
Icicle Canyon
Mt. Saint Helens
White Salmon River

Any info on the birds I could see in these places, including all the common and uncommon birds, would be most appreciated. One of the big questions I have is: I know there are Tufted Puffins on the Coast of Washington, but are they pelagic birds, or can you see them from land during the summer? Thank you all so much.
