Hello, Tweets,

A midday walk in the ravine at Edmond's Yost Park today yielded binocular views of a female pileated woodpecker doing some excavating near the top of a broken-off limb on a tree at the north side of the ravine. I was glad to see it, as it has been an elusive bird for me this year. A pair of spotted towhees and hearing a black-capped chickadee were my only other identified birds during my brief stay, not counting a crow fly-by.
