Nancy & Tweeters,

I will once again be teaching a class on Washington Owls through Seattle
Audubon on January 23. There is a field trip to Bainbridge Island for
owling, where Barred Owls and Northern Saw-whet Owls should both be seen
(and heard), and the possibility exists for Barn Owl, Great Horned Owl, and
Northern Pygmy Owl. The night of the Seattle CBC, I detected 10 owls of
three species, including both Northern Saw-whet and Great Horned for the
Seattle CBC area.

Here is the link for class info:

hedule.aspx

Proceeds from the class go towards the purchase of banding supplies for my
research on Barred and Saw-whet Owls.

I was hoping some of you could suggest some resources for finding owls,
either specific guides or suggestions from personal experiences would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks. Happy Birding! Nancy T- Seattle
