Hi Tweets,

Looked this morning from 7:30 until about 10 and didn't find any suspicious
teals. Highlights include a CANVASBACK with a large flock of GREATER SCAUP
on the lake by Kite Hill. Four CALIFORNIA GULLS and two RING-BILLED GULLS
were roosting on the swimming dock.

I looked at Montlake Fill (UBNA) yesterday afternoon from 3:30 until 4:45 or
so. No suspicious looking teals but there was a small flock of GREEN-WINGED
TEALS in the narrow channel west of the dime lot. I was surprised to see a
male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE where this channel widens up to the open water. I
have never seen one here before but I would have to defer to those who are
more frequent visitors to decide if this is a note-worthy sighting or not.
I am going away for three days for the New Year. This pretty much
guarantees that the Garganey will be seen within this time frame. :)
