Following up on the previous message, I wanted to pass on word of the
continuation of the combined county year list project for 2009. We've
assembled compilers for all 39 counties, and are all beginning to
keep track of 'our' counties. In an ideal outcome for this project,
we'd have a complete picture of all the species of birds seen in
every county during a year. Along the way, of course, we might just
have a bit of fun birding and seeing which counties can do well and
which lag behind....

We'd all appreciate help with any birds you may have seen -- in
particular less common birds & birds seen in the less-often-birded
counties.

Many of the compilers are keeping track of more information than just
the simple list -- though not collected for this project, these
'deeper' lists hold a lot of potential for improving our
understanding of the range, seasonality & abundance of birds in each
county.

Every couple months, I'll post an updated file of the county year
lists at Washington Birder's website [wabirder.com] and pass on word
on these lists.

A list of all the compilers for each county follows, and is also be
posted on the Washington Birder website.
