Tweeters: I'm sure you've been reading all the reports from those who
enjoyed good birding around here. I should add a couple of notes: After
Steve Pink called me with news of the N. Hawk Owl and Snowy Owl today, I
went up to see. Found both easily, BUT just another quarter mile north of
the Snowy Owl there was a second one, even closer to the road!!!

Three days in a row (Sat. - Mon.) a group of about 40 Redpolls were found
up Dezellem Hill, out of Bridgeport. There is pink flagging tape on both
sides of the road; birds were seen between those 2 spots.

Glad to hear the Long-tailed Duck is still being seen, as I haven't seen
it. But I did finally see the Harris' Sparrow, and the one Saw-whet Owl
in Bridgeport State Park. Yestertday at least 6 of the W. Bluebirds were
seen at Shrable Corner, on Bridgeport Bar, but the Long-eared Owl must be
roosting somewhere else.

Now we need some more Scooter sightings. (Yes, I know not all these
birds were in Doug. Co., but they are all close.) I have to play
substitute teacher for a couple of days, so good birding everyone.
