Hi folks.this is late but I just heard about it yesterday. On January 31st,
a Yellow-headed Blackbird was seen and photographed in Ocean Shores, Grays
Harbor County, in the lake-side yard at 399 Duck Lake Dr SE. The bird was
associating with a mixed flock of Red-winged Blackbirds and European
Starlings at a feeder in the yard.facing the lake. It has not been seen
since then, but we have lots of fresh-water shoreline.

I asked the homeowner and she agreed to allow me to post this. If you come
out to Ocean Shores to bird, please keep your eyes open. According to Bob
Morse and Glen & Wanda Hoge, there have been fewer than five sightings of
this species in Ocean Shores. If I see it or hear of it being seen I will
let all know. I can also send photos to anyone interested.
