Hopefully, you'll get a more helpful response but here's a little
3rd-hand info

I know there is at least one grad student at UW doing research on
White-crowned Sparrows -- I've come across him at the Fill before --
from what I recall, one thing they were looking into was wintering
distribution of pugetensis White-crowned Sparrows -- any chance you
got clear enough pictures to tell whether it was gambelii or
pugetensis?
