Greetings All,

The RUSTY BLACKBIRD continues at the Turnbull NWR headquarters this
evening. My dad Roger and I arrived just after 4pm and went straight
to the area where it had been the evening before. Sure enough, I
spotted it working the exact spot where we found it yesterday. Craig
Corder and Russ Roundy were also there for the show. It was quite tame
and allowed me in close for photos. I've posted one photo here:

It has been consistently found for 3 days now right around 4pm. Take
the trail south from the headquarters to the gazebo. Then head east on
the plowed track. There are three or four springs back in the alders,
and it likes working along them. We found it both days on the first
one where a lot of vegetation comes down low over the water. Search
carefully - you can walk right by it if it doesn't fly. Seems to be
really happy here so maybe it will stick around for a while.
