Hi Tweets,

I'm not sure how much interest this will generate, but I've started constructing a message board forum
for Northwest birders.? I haven't really seeded it with any content yet
(still thinking about what I want and hoping for user-generated as
well).? I thought there might be a use for a place where birdy people
can have threaded conversations about where they go and what they see
and what they thought about it.? Obviously this listserv meets a lot of
those needs but maybe you'll like to try it out in a different format.?
Come on by, take a look, and send me some feedback if you'd like.

>From my "about strangeowl" post on the site:

I want strangeowl to be a place for Northwest birders to share their
experiences, tips and stories about their birding adventures. My main
goal is for the forum to simply be a quick resource for birders to find
out what's going on where and when - a place to help you decide where
you're going to take the binoculars this weekend. Birders love to talk
about birds; here you can have a threaded conversation. Everyone is
welcome, novices and experts alike, and you've just got to register to
post.

I'm brand spanking new to hosting a forum and to trying
to meet the needs of a birding community. Bear with me as I try to
get this thing off the ground. Please send any comments, questions or
suggestions (especially suggestions!) to info at strangeowl.com.

Welcome!
