Tweets,

Trying to stay above the fog today I was birding the Ridge Road south of
Mabton in Yakima County. The only excitement had been spotting two Mountain
Bluebirds, which seemed to be there a little early in the season.

As the fog began to roll in I dejectedly headed towards the Tri-cities via
the Horse Heaven Hills (at least I could spend my gift certificate to
Hastings book store). As I drove slowly along Sellards Road I spotted a
SNOWY OWL sitting in the fog right beside the road next to a wheat stubble
field. I drove a little farther, turned and drove back but the owl flushed
as I approached the second time and flew to the south disappearing into the
heavy fog.

The owl was on Plymouth Road between Sellards Road and Clodfelter Road,
DeLorme pg.39 between 5-6 and C-D. This owl would be worth looking for when
the fog lifts as it may hang around that area for a while.
