Should anyone be wondering, the Rough-legged Hawk continues to be seen on
the water-wheel in the Sammamish Valley, 124th St. On a casual week-end trip
to Ocean Shores, Mike and I saw a Rough-legged Hawk along Bradey Loop Rd as
well as at Johns River. There was a Peregrine at Hoquiam Ponds as well as four
Western Meadowlarks looking lovely in a tree. On a visit to Damon Pt. on
Friday, Feb. 6th, we saw 2 gulls that appear to be Glaucous Gulls. Mike took
several pictures of one of the handsome white birds. Considerable changes
have been made at Bottle Beach which now includes a Blind as well as a trail
near the water's edge. The boardwalk from the new parking lot with bathroom is
expected to be done this week.
