I had an opportunity while staying with my family in Moclips over the weekend to bird a little. Yesterday morning I birded Ocean Shores for a few hours and didn't turn up anything rare, had a few nice highlights. They included:

A single Rock Sandpiper at the Pt. Brown Jetty base just after sunrise. It was actually the only shorebird to be found on the jetty, and it was sitting on top of a driftwood as the high tide rolled in looking confused. It flew off after about 15 minutes.

At the game range there was a nice group of 7 Black scoter, 5 female, 2 male. Also in the brush behind the treatment plant I managed to pish up a nice Palm warbler.

A nice sunny morning.
