This afternoon, Steve Nord and I saw 21 TRUMPETER SWANS (along with 13
TUNDRA SWANS) on Carty Lake at the Carty Unit of Ridgefield NWR. In my four
years of birding Ridgefield, this is the highest number of TRUMPETER SWANS
I've ever seen there.

We also saw 4 TREE SWALLOWS at the River S Unit.
