I observed a hummingbird late this afternoon, in East Stanwood, at a feeder on a porch. Didn't have binocs with me, and only saw it in poor light for about 10 seconds from the street. Don't know if it was a Rufous or not, but it seemed large and dark. Does anyone know what records in the Stanwood area there are of Anna's? I haven't seen one here. This location is only 3 miles from the Skagit Co. line where Anna's are listed as rare.
