RFI: Visiting Northwestern Washington;
24-25 February

I?m coming to Seattle from the Mid-Atlantic for work and
will have two full days to bird (Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb 24th and
25th) before I have my meetings.
I?ve never birded the Pacific Northwest before. I?d like to make the most efficient use of my
time while I?m there and see as many new birds as possible. I?d love any advice that anyone has to offer.

I?d like to see some western gulls (Mew, Glaucous-Winged,
Thayer's), alcids, Gyrfalcon, Prairie Falcon, Pacific and Yellow-Billed Loons,
Varied Thrush, and American Dipper.

After looking through the recent archives of this list and a
variety of online sources, I think I?ll probably bird the Samish Flats and make
a trip up to Delta, BC for the Gyrfalcons there. If anyone knows of any reliable spots for my
target birds or has any other advice, please email me at the below address.

I appreciate all your help.
