Hi Mike,

I was one of the counters last night as American Robins fly into a roost
slightly NW of Yakima near Suntides Golf Course. This is a truly
spectacular avian event. The 92,000 or so we reported was, we believe, an
underestimate of the true number. This is something we have been
documenting here in the last 3 or 4 years, but old-timers in the area say it
is a yearly event. We counted for about one hour and 20 minutes up to
sunset when the stream of robins ended. I arrived at the count spot a
little after 4 and the flo or robins had already began, so it is amazing how
many we probably missed!
