Today, Bill Tweit and I birded the Waterville Plateau and the Bridgeport area. Thought I would continue the updates for others exploring these areas. The Hawk Owl was still present at B n.e. and 16th n.e roads. B n.e. is also called the Bridgeport Hill Rd. We had 34 Eurasian Collared-Doves in two trees at Mansfield. No Gyrfalcons were seen by us but we did have two Prairie Falcons in this area. One Golden Eagle along Hwy 172 was also a highlight. On H n.e road we observed 50 Snow Buntings in a flock of Horned Larks. The Yellow-billed Loon was still present at the end of Murphey Rd. behind Chief Joseph Dam. This bird seemed to have a small bill for a typical Yellow-billed,but was clearly this species.
