Need help with identifying a bird seen at the parking lot at samish Flats today.
Large flock of brewers black birds,starlings and at least one red winged blackbird.They moved from the power lines to the tree next to the restroom and to the adjacent field.As they moved in lage numbers I kept seeing flashes of white.Finally I managed to isolate the bird and noted it was similar size as a female blackbird,with distinct white primaries which appear in flight as if the end third of the wings are dipped in white paint.Above the eye seemed from my view a yellowish stripe.The rest of the plumage was a mottled brown.After returning from my walk could no longer locate it .Any ideas?This was my first time at this location so I am sure there are people with alot more experience at this site.Would love to hear from our purists out there.
