Walked from Saltys to Alki beach and back.Highlight was a yellow billed loon.Other fun birds were black plovers and one surf bird a pair of pigeon guillemots &?large rafts of surf scoters and western grebes. Both Horned and Eared grebes also seen.Across on the Elliot Bay trail more rafts of Western grebes,Surf scoters and Greater Scaup.Sun shone the whole day ,so me and the dog received a good work out.Back to the loon I spent some time observing the bill and with no doubt it was yellow.I've tavelled about as of late and seen a great slice of Nth Western Washington due to 3 months off due to a rotator cuff surgery so I have cabin fever big time.Drop me a line if someone needs some company on a field trip for the day.
