Made another trip to get some more photos of the Yellow-billed Loon.? Was still there and if anyone wants to get close up views of a YBL this is your bird.? The YBL hangs out with 2 Common Loons and seems to rest in the middle of the resevoir.? They have a loop that takes them real near the shore where people are usually fishing.?
The Northern Hawk Owl was at the usual place on B st and 15th.? Spent all of its time in the trees on either side of the road.? After coming back from taking pictures of the YBL I watched the NHO for awhile and then set off to search for a Gyrfalcon.? Was going to try south of Mansfield.? As I was driving away from the NHO I looked up and on one of the telephone poles that the NHO usually hunts from there was a Juvenile dark intermediate Gyrfalcon.? Just got backlit photos and then it flew.? Lucky.
Near Waterville I found a Snow Bunting on the wire that I got a photo of.
