Yesterday at Ridgefield NWR I was lucky enough to be about 10 feet from a
Great Blue Heron as it captured and swallowed a vole. I managed to get
several photos of the hunting process -- 10 of these photos are now online

The heron was hunting in the same spot where I saw an American Bittern catch
and eat a vole about a week ago.
