Hi Tweeters,

There have been many double crested cormorants, common mergansers, and surf scoters congregating around steamboat island and hope island the last couple weeks. Today there were also at least 24 western grebes in a flock of surf scoters looking west from steamboat island bridge. I haven't seen this many in a while, so it was a nice addition to a beautiful day.
