Dear Tweeters,

Today I got to see one of the Samish Flats Prairie Falcons. It was visible from the hay-shed pullout near the north end of Bay View-Edison Road, not far from a flock of 120 Black-bellied Plover and a few hundred Dunlin.

Question: is it possible that the Snohomish Gyrfalcon and the Samish one are the same bird?

Also today, in Burlington there was a Thayer's Gull in a flock of Glaucous-winged, Ring-billed, and Mew Gulls. This flock was at the soccer fields between the river and the railroad tracks.

Yours truly,
