I made my Lewis County rounds today starting with the Cowlitz Trout Hatchery, quickly moving on to Cowlitz Salmon Hatchery, Mayfield Dam, Mayfield Lake County Park, Swofford Pond, Riffe Lake (west end), Ike Kinswa Boat Launch, and Mossyrock Trout Hatchery.
The highlight of the day was a sole OSPREY circling around the trout retention ponds at the Cowlitz Trout Hatchery.
On a side note, we saw a TURKEY VULTURE last Sunday in Fife on the way to Mansfield for the owl.
