I received a recall notice from Fred Meyer for Morning Star Nutty Safari Suet cakes. It was printed on a receipt. "The product may be contaminated with SALMONELLA and if eaten, could result in severe illness to those individuals who may consume this product. DO NOT CONSUME" I purchased this as birdfood. And I'm curious to know if birds would be made ill by consuming this suet, assumming it is contaminated. Lots of little birds take suet along with the woodpeckers. Does anyone know?
