Hi Tweeters,

It was a glorious day for birding. My first stop was the Fill just before 8:00 am. Between 8:00 am and 10:00 am seems to be when the most activity is taking place. There was an orchestra of sound this beautiful morning. Most obvious were the Red-winged Blackbirds and Robins. The Song Sparrows were doing their part along with the Wrens chipping away. Then there was the sole Meadowlark adding his/her tune. It was a great morning to be out. Along with the regulars at the Fill the best bird of the morning was a Brown Creeper in the grove of trees just east of the old swing set frame.

From the Fill I visited Discovery Park. It was pretty quiet. It had its share of Yellow-rumps, Song Sparrows, Downys, but nothing out of the ordinary. I was looking for Rufous Hummingbirds but none to be found. There were however plenty of Anna's. There were Brants, Sanderlings, and Gulls on the beach and just off the beach was a nice Sea Lion.

Since it was so quiet at Discovery I went back to the Fill for a little more action. Well it was pretty quiet there also. The morning activity must have wore them out.
