After reading some posts about Marymoor I took my daughter there yesterday afternoon hoping to see some ducks and maybe warblers or other species I haven't seen or ID'd yet. We parked at the lot near the reservations office and headed toward the mansion, having read that there may be warblers in the pines. Saw probably 50 to 100 AMERICAN ROBINS feeding on the grounds. We walked around the masion and headed toward the Slough, hoping to see ducks on the water. No such luck. Saw one GULL too high to identify and a couple of squirrels. On the walk back to the car, looping around the windmill, we saw even more AMERICAN ROBINS, two CROWS, and one JUNCO. Not sure where I should have been looking to see ducks. With my 4 year old in tow, and temperatures hovering in the high 30s, we couldn't stay too long. I am hoping to go one one of the Thursday 8:00 a.m. walks in the next month or so, so that I can get a better idea of where I should be walking. The website says parking lot C but I didnt' see one named that on the map of the park.
