Tweets,
Brien Meilleur and I made a run out through Kenmore and Woodinville to
Carnation January 2. A flock of up to 10 Trumpeter Swans has been hanging
out at the north end of Lake Washington visible from the Kenmore Logboom
Park, since late December.
The Rough-legged Hawk was still at its spot on 124th just east of Willow Rd.
Nearby were flocks of 200 Snow Geese, 37 Trumpeter Swans, and a mixed group
of Canadas, Cacklers, and a single White-fronted Goose. Also, two American
Kestrels in the field south of 124th just east of Willow Rd.
For the East Lake Washington CBC January 3 I hiked up to the summit of West
Tiger Mt. #3 (2520 feet ASL) and was greeted at the top by a hungry family
of six Gray Jays that tried to steal my peanut butter & jelly sandwich.
