Tweeters,
?
???? At 1:30 this afternoon I located an adult gull with white primary tips, approximately where Gene Hunn reported seeing one yesterday, and generally where Guy McWethy found one December 30, 2008.? It was in a plowed field north of S. 212 ST and just west of Frager Rd in Kent.?It was in a mixed flock of about 150 gulls.? As I scoped through the flock for about 50 Minutes, I was struck continually by the bird's slim profile, long wings, and smaller size than many of the other pink-legged fulls in the flock.? the bill seemed small and straight but I was scoping in the rain at 200yards.? North of S.212 on this area there was an avian spectacle with impressive variety and numbers of water fowl, flocks of Brewer's and Red-winged Blackbirds, hundreds more gulls, and even shorebirds -- 1 Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Dunlin, and 3 Killdeer.
