Subject: [Tweeters] Unusual location for adding a Year Bird

I had to stop at an airline ticket counter at SEATAC airport this
afternoon. When leaving and just before getting on the down escalator
to the garage, I noticed a bird flying out of the corner of my eye.
This was on the upper level at the entrance to Concourse A. There are
some tables and chairs with people eating fast food and five HOUSE
SPARROWS were busy feeding on crumbs! This is within about 50 yards of
automatic doorsinside the terminal. Now trying to find a House Sparrow
in my neighborhood in Twin Lakes is very difficult these days. I have
not had one on my feeders in a long time and hardly ever see any on my
walk through the area. Well, it was my first sighting of them this
year. Now I will not have to look for them in Downtown Seattle! Of
course the local Home Depot is a good location for them too!
I was not surprised to find an AMERICAN CROW searching for food in the
parking garage when I returned to my car! I did not have any luck with
inside Rock Pigeons though!
