Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday January 8. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

A PINE WARBLER is now being seen in LaGrande. A probable JACK SNIPE was seen
January 4 at Fern Ridge Reservoir. The Siletz Bay LITTLE BLUE HERON is still
being seen along Drift Creek. The Peoria PYRRHULOXIA continues to be seen.

A few BROWN PELICANS are still scattered along the coast, but most have
dropped south into California. On January 3 two HEERMANN?S GULLS were at
Yaquina Bay. There has been a report of a flock of CLARK?S NUTCRACKERS being
seen east of Neskowin. The January 3 Coquille Valley Count found an EMPEROR
GOOSE, YELLOWTHROAT, SAY?S PHOEBE, and a SANDHILL CRANE.

The Shillapoo SWAINSON?S HAWK continues to be seen. On January 6 a GOLDEN
EAGLE was at Ridgefield NWR. A GLAUCOUS GULL was in Vancouver January 5.
Another was in downtown Portland December 31. On January 3 a WILSON?S
WARBLER and a CASSIN?S VIREO was in a southwest Portland neighborhood. On
January 7 a BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER was in northeast Portland.

On January 4 a MOCKINGBIRD was in Finley NWR. A BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK
visited a Eugene feeder January 1. On January 4 a GYRFALCON was north of
Eugene.
